Puncture wound
A lost shoe with an injury to the toe. Remedied this by cleaning the wound. The shoe was fabricated at the toe so the wound could be cleaned daily and the horse remained in work.
Before and After
The horse was barefoot prior to shoeing and showing signs of heavy wear at the toe quarter (equivalent to the breakover point). Once well trimmed and fitted with a breakover shoe the horse was much more comfortable.
